I was excited to see when I opened up this year’s Sports Illustrated Golf Preview magazine that the first article, by the Managing Editor of S.I. Golf Group in fact, was all about the importance of an expert golf club fitter if you were serious about improving your score.  In the S.I. article they provided some statistics from their research that was quite telling.  According to their research, only 11% of avid golfers that purchased equipment over the past 12 months were custom fit using a launch monitor.  Of that group an overwhelming 88% said that the custom fitting was a great value.
